E-Force's most advanced and powerful racquet yet!
  • Entire racquet is a hitting -power kill zone!
  • Massive power on on-center hits
  • Massive power on off-center hits
The Invasion X is all about power!  With new Power Boosters and technology from over 15 patents on this frame you get a highly engineered stick for your buck.  E-Force inventions on this model alone include:
  • Extreme LongString
  • PowerHouse Shaft
  • Dual Cylinder
  • Zero Richter Tubes
  • Launch Pad
  • Hi-Compression Wing
  • By-Pass Stringing System
  • Fiber Alignment (FAT) Zones
  • Tri-Carbon Frame
  • Total Carbon Head
More on Power Boosters:
By creating an incredibly stable string bed, power and points are easy to come by.  How?  The Invasion X is loaded with 24 Power Boosting tubes covering approximately 32 inches of hitting surface strings.  Each "boostered" string is stabilized, thereby stabilizing the entire string bed and generating power at every point on the string bed.  They also serve to reduce vibration for that nearly perfect racquet feel.

New Power Boosters Lead to New Graphite Design:
The Power Boosters add power, but also weight.  Up to 5 grams of weight needed to be eliminated from the graphite frame in areas where all the excess weight had already been eliminated to make way for earlier E-Force inventions.  E-Force engineering solded the problem by further redesigning the approximately 50 graphite piece frame structure.  The result is a new graphite frame that adds the Invasion X's New Power Boosters without increasing weight or sacrificing balance and any other playing characteristics.

How to select a Pickleball Paddle

Pickleball is a fun game that is played on a badminton sized, hard surface court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and graphite or composite paddles. It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.

Pickleball is quickly sweeping the nation and becoming a favorite pastime for folks of all ages.  As a premier dealer of pickleball paddles and gear, we have become experts in the sometimes slight, sometimes more pronounced variations between pickleball paddles.  Use our Pickleball Paddle Selection Guide (click and scroll down) to help you narrow the choices and find the best paddle for your game.

Wilson Pro Staff BLX 2012 Paddle Review

For platform tennis, paddle or beach tennis, the Wilson Pro Staff BLX paddle has become a favorite of intermediate through advanced players who like a maneuverable paddle that offers great feel and control (if you like a really head heavy feel, this one is not for you).

Here's what makes this paddle a top performer that appeals to aggressive players:

  • Thinner beam - this is the only paddle available that is thinner in construction.  Yes, the actual foam core is a bit thinner than other paddles.  This helps keep the overall weight down to maximize your swing speed.  It also results in more feel (less loss of ball feel from absorption into the EVA foam core) so you can better control the spin action and direction of the ball off the paddle face.  End result...better, more accurate ball placement.
  • Mid-weight, even balance - at 12.8 ounces in weight, this paddle is not a feather-weight, but it is just on the lighter side of the mean weight of most paddles (which range from 12 oz to 14 oz.).  Remember that weight in paddle sports has pros and cons.  A heavier paddle feels more stable through the swing and resists twisting & being pushed around by the ball (especially in Platform Tennis with its heavy, hard ball.  A lighter paddle is easier to swing -- think less fatigue on the arm over a night of play.  You can also get it into position faster, especially if you're slower on your feet and find yourself late getting to the ball.
  • Incredible Grit! - grittiest surface of all our paddles.  It's absolutely lambasted with chunky gnarly grit over the entire surface of the paddle face for maximum spin potential.
  • Bumperless design - there is no "outer bumper guard" on this paddle.  It is integrated into the paddle design such that it is a seamless hitting surface right to the paddle edge.  This also contributes to the even balance of the paddle...there is less material up there in the head so it feels more evenly balanced through the swing.
How does it rate in terms of power versus control?
With Wilson's Smart Density core, this paddle provides a blend of both power and control delivered in a way that is geared for each specific shot.  Here's how it works: Wilson's "Smart Density" is a multi-layered core that has a firm layer of EVA in the center surrounded by a softer layer of EVA foam on the outside.  On hard hits, the ball penetrates to the firmer material in the core which provides more power and on softer shots, the ball only reaches into the outer soft layer of foam to provide extra control.  Our customers have found that the Smart Density core gives the best of both worlds and is what they were missing when they had to choose between a paddle with an all soft core or an all firm/high density core.

Want One?
Purchase the 2013 Wilson Pro Staff BLX paddle here, or to save some $$ take advantage of our Bell Racquet Sports exclusive paddle sale offer on the 2012 Wilson Pro Staff BLX paddle now on closeout.  The differences between the 2012 (Gray/Black) and 2013 (Black/Red) models is are fairly subtle and involve a very slight flare or appearance of a molded-in bumper just near the very tip of the paddle on the 2013 Pro Staff as well as the addition of a bottle opener in the base (bottom) of the butt cap. Although Wilson states that they are both 365 grams, the 2013 actually weighs a couple of grams more, most likely due to the addition of that bottle opener and the redesigned shape at the top of the paddle head.  We recently tested both paddles on our swing weight machine and the 2013 comes up more head heavy.  If you are trying to decide between the two, we suggest that keeping in mind that both are "light" in weight, if you want the easier swinging version, go with the 2012.  If you want more mass behind the ball when you do connect with it, go with the 2013.  Both paddles include a zippered paddle cover and an equal amount of grit (called Gator Grit in 2012, now called Killer Grit for 2013 but the same thing).

For our local customers, come on in and demo either one, or both if you'd like to try before you buy.

E-Force Invasion Racquets - See the lineup & order today

New E-Force Racquets for 2013 (available early November, 2012) - The E-Force Invasion Racquets

Welcome in the new EForce lineup for 2013 including the following models...

E-Force Invasion Rackets for 2013

What's new about this years' lineup?

Well, for starters you're looking at an all new cosmetic look on the Invasion series.  With a crisp white, black and gray frame that dramatically contrasts with the predominantly black frames of the past few years and bright red for the High Octane Boosters (long grommets in the string bed) this racquet has clean lines.

More importantly, how does it play?

If you're a fan of the Heatseeker or Heatseeker 2.0 racquets with the longer Power Shaft design, you'll be a fan of these as well.  The Power Shaft carries forward into this lineup and provides the stability and crisp power our E-Force customers rave about.  The High Octane Booster grommets are a bright red color now and are extended into the frame further to provide even more power and an even better feel.

As usual, it is offered in both the quadraform (more squared off) head shape and the teardrop (self-explanatory, don't you think?) shape.  The Invasion 160 and Invasion 175 are the quadraforms and the Invasion 170 and Invasion 190 are the teardrops.

Same grip sizes, grip material (Resin Wrap) and strings (E-Force Oxygen 17g) from the factory as in the past.

Order yours today and we'll customize it for you at no extra charge!

Want a rubber grip installed?  We'll do it free!  Racquet guard tape on the bumper? We'll do it free!  String dampener? We'll install it free!
